Delegates & Abstract Grants

We believe every professional should have the opportunity to share their findings and connect with peers at the IUMS 2026 Congress. To help make your journey to Lisbon a reality, we are delighted to offer various grant opportunities to support your participation.

IUMS Abstract Grants

These grants will be awarded to the highest-scoring abstract submitters to support their attendance at the congress.

Who can apply:

  • Submitters with the highest-scoring abstracts.
  • We will be offering two types of grants based on your country’s economic classification: one for Upper Middle Income and Upper Income countries, and another for Low- and Lower-Middle-Income Countries (LLMICs).

How to apply:

  • Applications are available only during the regular abstract submission period.
  • You must indicate your interest in a grant on the abstract submission form.
  • Selection will be based on the review score of your abstract.

Deadline:

  • The deadline to apply for the Abstract grants is April 29, 2026.

IUMS Registration Grants

These grants are available to support early career participants from Low- and Lower-Middle-Income Countries (LLMICs).

Who can apply:

  • Early career participants whose country of residence is an LLMIC.

How to apply:

  • You can apply during the early registration period.
  • You must answer a questionnaire with questions such as “Why do you want to attend IUMS 2026?” and “What would be the impact of attending on your professional career and local community?”

ESCMID Attendance Grant

ESCMID will provide attendance grants for young scientists and applicants from LMIC institutions to support participation at IUMS 2026.

Application will open in June 2026.
